If you’re ready to put years of dieting behind you in exchange for an easy relationship with food, exercise, and your body image ~ you’re in the right place.
No one really wants to be on a diet forever, and even though lifestyle changes that are meant to be more manageable still leave you:
- Nervous about what foods will be at the party
- Worrying you’ll slip up again and have to start over
- Stressed about making the right food choices
- Dreading your next workout even though you know you should do it
- Always thinking about your next meal and recalculating how the food will fit into your daily limits
I’ve been there, and it’s just a stressful way to live.
You’re left holding on to hope that one day this healthy way of eating will become your habit and finally feel easy to stick to.
But really most days just feels like a battle of wills between your rebellious side that just wants the foods you’re not supposed to have and the side that’s trying to use willpower to stop you from overeating.
If you’re exhausted by that power struggle, it’s time to stop fighting yourself and embrace a non-diet approach to food.
Dieting decreases the trust you have with yourself around food.
So instead of feeling comfortable around food you just end up worrying about the temptation and eventually overeating.
For years I thought without a diet plan I would just eat out-of-control, but here’s what really happened for myself and my clients after embracing a non-diet approach with intuitive eating.
You’ll stop:
- Worrying about if the foods that fit into your meal plan will be at the event
- Thinking about food all day to make sure you’re staying on plan
- Feeling bad about workouts being “good enough”
- Being harsh to your body with how you think and talk about yourself
- Feeling urgency and intense cravings to eat “off limits” foods whenever possible
What you’ll gain with a non-diet approach:
- More ease and peace in your life
- Trusting yourself to be around any food
- Enjoying moving your body and exercising in the way you want to
- Eating foods that help you feel better because it aligns with what you want (no willpower or discipline required)
- Acceptance and love for your body
- Increased energy (because you’re no longer wasting energy trying to control yourself)
With a non-diet approach you’ll create with food freedom and learn to:
- Listen to your body’s hunger and fullness cues
- Understand your different types of hunger so you’ll feel more satisfied with food
- Honor your food cravings in a way that aligns with what you want so there’s less urgency to overeat
- Trust your body and yourself around food
- Learn to embrace your body’s natural desire for movement so exercise feels doable and enjoyable
- Heal your body image so it feels more comfortable to be in your body
What to expect from intuitive eating coaching
Heal your relationship with food
This program isn’t another diet or healthy lifestyle change program that will tell you what to eat and what to avoid. Instead, this program is about developing a healthier relationship with food so you can trust yourself around food and create a new way of thinking about food full of respect and ease. You’ll find learning intuitive eating can free up the mental space that goes into trying to control yourself around food.
Eat without guilt and stop thinking about food constantly
Food is an essential part of life for nourishing our body. Eating can be full of joy and ease, not guilt or stress. The intuitive eating coaching program helps you break free from unhealthy eating habits by relearning to trust your body and yourself again. The framework helps you eat in a way that supports your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Heal your body image
When you let go of intentional weight loss, you free up space to learn to love and respect your body as it is in this moment. And growing respect for your body makes it so much easier to take care of yourself consistently without the guilt, shame, and self-criticism that comes from diet culture. It will open you up to years of a supportive and respectful (even loving) relationship with your body and yourself.
Support your health
A common fear is that eating without rules will lead to worse health. But research supports intuitive eating can create a better relationship with food, more balanced eating, and better health outcomes over time.
Personalized support from a registered dietitian
Ashley Brafman is a Registered Dietitian who experienced the journey from dieter and emotional eater to finding freedom from the struggles with food by becoming an intuitive eater with a non-diet approach. She’ll offer you personalized support to change your mindset around food, exercise, and body image to create a healthier relationship with food that will support you for years to come.

On average, clients spend around 1-3 hours each week in sessions, utilizing tools, and practicing intuitive eating skills.
This is not an intentional weight loss program. Most of my clients spent years pursuing weight loss, only to end up struggling more with food. For this reason, we find clients have more success focusing on their relationship with food, exercise, body image, and themselves instead of putting the emphasis on changing their bodies.
As a result of healing their relationship with food, people may gain weight, maintain their weight, or lose weight depending on what their body needs.
We do not accept insurance.
If you have an active eating disorder, intuitive eating coaching is not the best fit at this time. It’s best to seek treatment from an eating disorder treatment team.
